Illinois Association of County Auditors

2025 President: April Palmer, Rock Island County Auditor

The purpose of the IACA is:

  • To provide a statewide organization through which membership may discuss the common problems and concerns of County Auditors.
  • To provide a means by which the membership may jointly co-operate with other organizations and individuals to improve accounting, auditing, and financial reporting for Illinois counties.
  • To provide a means by which the membership may cooperatively work with the Legislature to promote laws for the improvement of accounting, auditing, and financial reporting.
  • To provide continuing education for all members in accordance with the Illinois Compiled Statutes in order to maintain professional accounting practices.
  • To promote public awareness of with work conducted by Illinois County Auditors.

Illinois Association of County Board Members

2025 President: Richard "Quijas" Brunk, Rock Island County Board Chair

The Illinois Association of County Board Members and Commissioners (IACBM) is a not-for-profit organization that assist the state's 102 counties in providing effective county governance to the people of Illinois. With its office conveniently located near the State Capitol in Springfield, IACBM provides county officials a means to congregate, educate and adovcate their interests before the state government. The non-partisan association is governed by a Board of Directors composed of one representative from each county in good standing. 

Illinois Association of County Clerks and Recorders

2025 President: Lori Gadbois, Kankakee County Recorder

The association strives to:

  • Provide a forum for exchange of ideas and experiences among County Clerks and Recorders.
  • Facilitate cooperation among County Clerks and Recorders.
  • Increase the effectiveness of County Clerks and Recorders in the better operation of their respective offices.
  • Promote reasonable uniformity in the procedures and methods in the various counties in order to improve service to the public.
  • Originate and/or promote legislation beneficial to the operation and function of the offices of County Clerks and Recorders.

Illinois Association of County Veterans Assistance Commissions

2025 President: Andrew Tangen, J.D., MBA, MS, Veterans Assistance Commission of Lake County Superintendent

The Illinois Association of County Veterans Assistance Commissions is organized and operated for the educational purposes of the Association’s Veteran membership, which, in part, consists of Veteran Service Officers throughout the State of Illinois. The mission of the IACVAC is to:

  • Serve as the central counseling and coordinating office for all County Veterans Assistance Commission offices included as members of the Illinois Association of County Veterans Service Officers to be referred to as Association.
  • Foster and perpetuate VAC’s in all counties where viable commissions do not exist and provide such information and training as deemed necessary.
  • Have general oversight of the rules, laws, and regulations pertinent to governing and administering the County VAC’s within the State of Illinois for the benefit of Military Veterans and their dependents.
  • Establish communication and recognition with all local, state, and federal service officers for processing Veterans and their dependents' claims as may be referred to the Commission office.
  • Promote the welfare of all Military Veterans and their dependents.

Illinois Association of Court Clerks

2025 President: Seth E. Floyd, Piatt County Circuit Clerk

The purpose of the IACC is to:

  • Provide an opportunity for Clerks of the Circuit, Appellate and Supreme Courts of the State of Illinois to exchange information, foster cooperation and devise the means for planning and promoting programs and ideas for more effective operation of their respective offices
  • Propose legislation which will be beneficial to the said clerk and to oppose legislation which it deems detrimental to their best interest.
  • Cooperate with organizations affiliated with the Illinois Association of County Officials, Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts and state agencies that deal directly or indirectly with the court system.

Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools

2025 President: Jodi Scott, Regional Office of Education #33 Superintendent

The Illinois Association of Reginal Superintendents of Schools (IARSS) supports the role of Regional Superintendents of Schools and Assistant Regional Superintendents and of Regional Offices of Education in Illinois, personally and professionally, in their efforts to promote quality education for the school children and citizens of Illinois, to provide educational leadership, to impact public policy, and to deliver educational services effectively for the benefit of Illinois school districts, other educational entities and educational system clients of all ages.

Illinois Coroners & Medical Examiners Association

2025 President: David Harris, Fayette County Coroner

The Illinois Coroners & Medical Examiners Association is a dedicated not-for-profit corporation focused on bringing together its members to enhance and elevate the Office of Coroner. Our mission centers on the professionalization of the field through the promotion of idea-sharing and the creation of comprehensive educational programs. By fostering collaboration and knowledge dissemination, we strive to empower Coroners with the essential skills and expertise they need to carry out their statutory responsibilities effectively and serve the public with enhanced competency. The Association functions in alignment with the established Bylaws and the General Not For Profit Act of the State of Illinois, providing it with the necessary authority and framework to fulfill its purpose and make a positive impact within the community.

Illinois County Assessment Officers Association

2025 President: Mark Armstrong, Kane County Supervisor of Assessments

The objectives of the Association shall be to:

  • Improve the standards of assessment practices throughout the State.
  • Provide a clearing device for the collection and distribution of useful information relative to assessment practices.
  • Educate the taxpaying public on the true nature and importance of the work performed by assessing officers.
  • Recommend to members of the General Assembly of the State of Illinois needed legislation relative to assessment practices.
  • Cooperate with public and private agencies interested in assessment practices; and in every proper way to promote justice and equity in the distribution of the tax burden.

Illinois County Treasurers' Association

2025 President: Ashley Gott, Williamson County Treasurer

The Illinois County Treasurers’ Association is designed to serve as a medium through which to exchange experience and ideas; to study problems of the office; to promote better and more efficient administration of the duties of the office; to encourage and promote legislation seeking to make the office of greater service to the people we serve; and to serve as an instrumentality whereby ideas can be translated into action and implemented in a practical way.
